AWS’s plasma cutting-machine park consists of three plasma cutting machines: a new Messer Griesheim HPR 260 High-Definition plasma cutting machine with two torches and a Hypertherm plasma source for cutting up to 40 mm thickness; one smaller High-Definition plasma machine for cutting up to 15 mm and one Esab 7500 mm underwater plasma cutting machine.

On this machine we can cut material up to 30 mm in thickness. A major advantage of underwater plasma cutting is the minimal thermal effect it has on the material. For our wear resistant and high strength steel grades this means it retains the mechanical values. It will also prevent thermal deformation.
